These instructions must always be av ailable and accessible to the user. If the product is resold outside the first country of destination (France), it is essential for the safety of the user that the dealer provides the instructions for use, maintenance, periodic examinations as well as inst ructions for repairs, written in the language of the country where the product is used. Any activity at a height is dangerous and can cause accidents, serious injury or death. The practice, as well as learning the techniques of using the appropriate equipm ent, is your responsibility. Before using the product, you must therefore read and understand all the information contained in the instructions for use. Non - compliance with any of these warnings may result in serious injury or death. For safety reasons, th e user must be in good health, not under the influence of medication, alcohol or drugs. Workers using personal protective equipment should receive training. Instructions for use & technical description The PPE consists of a mobile fall arrester reference LADDERRAIL and an aluminium vertical anchor line reference LADDERRAIL . The product is EN 353 - 1 certified: 2014 + A1 2017 and the additional PPE - R11.116 and PPE - R11.119 sheets This device allows movement and protection against falls from height, both while ascending and descending. The temperature of the work environment must be greater than - 30°C, not recommended for use in stormy weather. The anchor line LADDERRAIL may only be used with the mobile fall arrester LADDERRAIL . The user must connect his harness in accordance with EN 361 via the sternal point of attachment to the carriage using the connector integrated into the carriage in LADDERRAIL accordance with EN 362. The connector includes a textile energy absorber to limit the impact force in the event of a fall. ATTENTION the length of the connector should neither be extended, nor be shortened, for example, by adding or removing a connector. The fall arrester connects and disconnects at any point of the system. These actions must be carried out in a safe position or using a separate personal protection system. Present the fall arrester in the correct direction of use (a) If the orientation is incorrect (b), it will not be possible to close the fall arrester on the belay system. Press the two buttons on either side of the fall arrester at the same time and pull t he movable part of the fall arrester (c). Keep the fall arrester open and insert it onto the rail (d). If the locking cam is turned down (e) the fall arrester cannot be inserted properly, raise the cam (f). LADDERRAIL Instructions for use
8. Vertical rail system Engage the left - hand part of the fall arrester on the rail (g) and then guide the sliding part back, ensuring that the fall arrester is closed properly. There must be no visible gap between the two parts of the fall arrester and the locking buttons must be back in position (h). Make sure that the carriage runs smoothly on the rail (i). Pull the connector down and make sure the carriage is locked (j) The fall arrester has been designed to move freely on the rail without manual intervention. Holding the locking mechanism or manipulating the carriage during movement may prevent it from locking in the event of a fall. Do not hold the fall arrester. The mobile fall arrester is designed to be used by one person with a minimum weight of 50 kg (excluding tools and equipment) and a maximum weight of 150 kg including tools and equipment. The equipment must not be used beyond its limits, or in any situation other than that for which it is intended. The anchor line is designed to be used simultaneously by three people, each of whom must have his or her own personal fall arrester LADDERRAIL and must maintain a minimum safety distance of 3 metres between them. There is no limit to the length of the anchor line. All points on the rigid anchor line, at which the mobile fall arrester could exit from the anchor line must be equipped with an LDREXT F stop. After use, never leave the fall arrester connected to the rail, clean it (see § Maintenance) and store it in the waterproof bag provided. Make sure to protect it from shocks, humidity and excessive temperatures ( - 10°C / +40°C) during transport or storage. The rigid anchor line may not be used in a rescue situation. Operations should be carried out using a separate personal protection system. Important - Prevention Before use When you are at a height, your life depends on the equipment you use. Any doubts about the safety of the device should be reported to the manufacturer and the person responsible for the installation. A fall arrest harness conforming to EN 361 is the only body - gripping device that may be used in a fall arrest system. A harness should be size appropriate, properly adjusted and fitted to the user's height The fall arrest harness should be properly adjusted to fit snugly and should not be used if it is loose. If the harness becomes loose while in ascending or descending, it should be properly readjusted from a safe location. The durability of the line must be checked in accordance with the use. A rescue plan should be in place to deal with any emergencies that may arise during work. In a fall arrest system, it is essential to check the clearance under the user before and during use, in order to avoid any collision with the ground or an obstacle during the fall. In the system LADDERRAIL this space must be at least 2 m. Before this height, the air draft is insufficient, the user may not be protected from falling back to the ground. Special attention should therefore be paid to this phase. The fall arrester must not be used in a working position. A separate system should be used if work positioning is necessary. A hazard may arise when using several pieces of equipment in which the safety function of one piece of equipment may be affected by the safety function of the other. Instructions for use LADDERRAIL

9. Vertical rail system CAUTION DANGER : Make sure that your equipment does not rub against abrasive materials or sharp parts that could damage its integrity, especially the textile energy absorber As the fall arrester is delivered with its own connector, it is not possible to change the components independently. Use only Delta Plus Systems parts to ensure compatibility of parts when assembling the system. The fall prevention function is only provided in one direction. It is essential to observe the direction of installation (arrow on the carriage pointing upwards) . Control - Points to be checked Ensure that the instructions for using the lifeline are posted on the signpost. Make sure that the fall arrest system you have is compliant and compatible with those recommended for use of the rail LADDERRAIL . Make sure that the product markings are legible. Ensure that the periodic checks and maintenance of the lifeline are up to date. Carry out a visual and functional check of the entire lifeline. Use the System Identification and Verification Sheet LADDERRAIL to perform these checks. After a fall or in case of doubt, do not use the anchor system or the fall arrester again until it has been checked and brought back into conformity by a competent person authorised by the manufacturer. Before each use, check the following items: The general condition of the product: no cracks, shocks, etc. Expiry date of the absorber No hard spot in the moving parts of the fall arrester Connector locks automatically The fall arrester opens without a hard spot and closes automatically Good condition of the castors. In case of doubt, take the product aside for a thorough check using the equipment identification and verification sheets. In case of non - compliance, destroy these products to avoid future use. 3. Vertical rail system PRESENTATION Our teams went to meet operators in the telecommunications and wind energy sectors. The LADDERRAIL, the solution for securing very great heights, was born from listening and analysing their problems. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS • Materials: aluminium alloy and A2 screws • LDRS carriage: can be used on inclined structures up to 15° lateral and 45° frontal. A simple downward pull automatically locks the carriage in its position CONFORMITY • EN 353 - 1: 2014 + A1 2017 • EU regulation 2016/425 • EU type examination certificate issued by: QUINTIN CERTIFICATIONS (no. 2927) 825 route de Romans – 38160 Saint Antoine l’Abbaye – France • Production monitored by: APAVE EXPLOITATION FRANCE SAS (n°0082) 6 Rue du Général Audran - 92412 COURBEVOIE cedex – France • Download the LDRS declaration of conformity via this QR Code REMINDER OF THE STANDARDS It is only when it is technically impossible to implement collective protection that it is possible to envisage recourse to individual means of protection against falls from height (Labour Code R4323 - 61). Personal protective equipment can also be used to complement collective protection. Indeed, the use of this type of protection notably imposes the following organisational constraints: • the definition, installation and choice of the type of equipment (lifeline, anchor point, etc.), • work with a minimum of two people, • definition of a rescue plan, • instructions for implementation and use, • staff information and training, • periodic checks, • meteorological conditions. For information, extract from recommendation R430 - INRS/CNAMTS: For buildings of any kind to be constructed, the technical provisions to facilitate the prevention of falls from height during subsequent work on the building should be included in the design. The reason of technical impossibility cannot therefore be considered, as it is now up to the client to modify his project so that there is no unresolved situation, at least, with the implementation of collective protection.
